WattCost.org is committed to privacy and transparency. This page explains what information may be processed when you use the site, including calculators, advertising, analytics, and local browser storage.

Calculator inputs

Our electricity cost calculators run in your browser. Inputs such as appliance wattage, daily usage, electricity rate, EV battery size, charging percentage, fuel price, or similar calculator values are used to generate estimates on the page. We do not require an account, and we do not intentionally collect calculator input values as personal information.

Information we do not require

• We do not require registration.
• We do not require your name, address, phone number, or payment information to use the calculators.
• We do not ask you to submit utility bills or appliance serial numbers.

Analytics, advertising, and cookies

WattCost.org uses Google Analytics and Google AdSense. These services may use cookies, device identifiers, IP address, browser information, approximate location, pages visited, referral information, and similar technologies to measure traffic, prevent fraud, improve site performance, and display advertisements.

Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads, measure ad performance, prevent abuse, and personalize ads where permitted by law. Local storage

Your electricity rate preference, such as country, state or province, and rate per kWh, may be saved in your browser's local storage so you do not have to re-enter it on each visit. This preference is stored on your device and can be cleared by deleting your browser's site data.

Some pages may include affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link or purchase through it, the affiliate partner may process information about your visit or purchase according to its own privacy policy. Affiliate relationships do not influence calculator results.

Third-party links

WattCost.org may link to third-party websites, advertisers, data providers, or product pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or policies of those third parties.

Data sources and correction requests

If you contact us to report an incorrect rate, wattage, or other data issue, we may use your email address and the information you provide only to review and respond to your request. Please include the source, date, country, state, province, utility, or other relevant details when reporting corrections.
